Weekend Retreat
Hobby House Retreat is located in a secluded neighborhood in Middletown, Pennsylvania. We are about 30 minutes from Lancaster, Hershey and Harrisburg off of Highway 283. Our house is situated on 4.5 acres for a very retreat like feeling, yet we are only 10 minutes from town. The 4,000 square foot house contains 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. We have setup sleeping accommodations for 16 guests to enjoy an intimate, relaxing environment (No more bunk beds and no one shares a bed!). All bed linens, pillows and towels are included. There are lockers available for use to secure your personal belongings in each of the bedrooms. Wireless Internet is available throughout the house.
Each guest has a 6 foot table to work at in one of our 2 adjoining crop rooms. Special lighting and comfortable chairs will enhance your crafting experience.
An on-site tool center is available for use along with instructional magazines and idea books. A few of these tools include a Cricut Expression machine and various cartridges, Cuttlebug machine, punches, cutting tools, corner rounders, and scissors.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, blender and crockpot. The kitchen is equipped with a flat-top oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. There are also dishes and utensils for use.
Groups can rent the house for the weekend, by the day or by the hour. This could be used for a wide variety of events, such as Creative Memory consultant parties, fundraisers, business meetings, family reunions, family vacations, bachelorette parties or just a relaxing weekend away with friends. Groups are responsible for their own meals, including beverages, and we ask you to leave the facility in the same condition as when you arrive. This includes starting the dishwasher and placing dirty linens in a specified place. Special arrangements can be made if you would like your event catered. The rates for group rentals are as follows (Discounts are available for certain non-profit groups, such as home school co-ops):
Friday Noon through Sunday 4PM: $1500* ($200 deposit)
Daily rental (12 hours): $600 per day ($100 deposit)
Hourly: $75 per hour (4 hours for $275 or 8 hours for $450)
*Additional nights can be added to weekend rentals for $225 based on availability.

We also offer Pampered Weekend Scrapbooking Retreats, where we bring together various people interested in a weekend getaway and WE will provide all your meals. This is great for those individuals looking for new friends or for groups with a small number of members. All pampered events include coffee, water and some assorted beverages. Guests may also supply their own preferred drinks and snacks. There is space for coolers and there is also refrigerator space where guests may store their personal items.
